Summary of Zi-O SG Watcher: Vol.29
Bandai’s candy toy blog posted a new entry for Kamen Rider Zi-O, with the last addition to SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O: RIDE 8 and a look into the future of SO-DO Chronicle.
The man in charge of candy toy development goes by D, and in honor of Zi-O, he has changed his usual nickname to Di-O.
The blog begins with SG RideWatch 07, the latest wave.
Di-O remarks that even though the DX release came out a while ago, this is well timed with the Ryuki arc in the show. He also points out how the Maximum Gamer RideWatch presents the face of the chest armor, as opposed to the standard RideWatch format in which the helmet is the focal point.
Next is the final reveal for SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O: RIDE 8, which is another addendum piece for Kamen Rider Build: Kamen Rider Cross-Z Evol.
This form is a new design featured in Build NEW WORLD: Kamen Rider Cross-Z. The design features Cross-Z and Evol’s design elements. Like the previous addendum piece, this does not feature the swappable hands that became a focal point in SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O.
Included with the figure is the Pandora’s Box, with the three types of panels. Previously, the Pandora Panels were included in SO-DO Kamen Rider Build: BUILD 4 and BUILD 9, with a silver Pandora’s Box in BUILD 11 – this variation of the box is entirely new.
Also included is a special extension part for the display stand, which allows you to display the figure lifted off the ground. The part also has pegholes for storing swappable hands, for those it applies to.
With that, RIDE 8 is complete. The wave will be released in April.
Unexpectedly, the blog then goes into the next entry of SO-DO Chronicle, SO-DO Kamen Rider Den-O. This blog segment is called the Starting Station. The following images are prototypes.
SO-DO Kamen Rider Den-O looks to be a wave comprised of Den-O’s main forms. The wave features a single Action Body Set for Den-O, with Cross Armor Sets for Sword Form, Rod Form, Ax Form and Gun Form.
Each armor set features hands for holding their respective weapons and/or performing their iconic poses. Recent SO-DO developments, such as the way Woz and W’s weapons are held, were implemented here.
Di-O ends the blog with a teaser, saying that there is still a secret with this wave that will be revealed at a later date. The next update would be on March 24th.
