Kyuranger OP/ED Single Charts at 7th in its First Week
The Uchu Sentai Kyuranger theme song single charted at 7th on Oricon music rankings.
The Uchu Sentai Kyuranger single for the opening and ending themes, “LUCKYSTAR” and “Kyutama Dancing!” charts at 7th place in its first week on Oricon for “Weekly CD single”. The single also sold 7,725 physical copies. The previous Super Sentai series, Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger‘s theme song single charted at 17th.
The opening theme, LUCKYSTAR, is performed by Tomohiro Hatano. Hatano has experience as a voice actor, having played a part in the Japanese dub of Pitch Perfect. Described as an ambitious singer continually refining his abilities, Hatano has experience performing at Roppongi’s Actor Theater in Hamatora THE STAGE, a stage adaptation of the Hamatora anime and manga project. LUCKYSTAR was his solo debut.
Tsuyoshi Matsubara performs the ending theme, Kyutama Dancing!. Matsubara was a member of Project DMM, who contributed songs to the Ultraman series for various years. He recently performed the opening for Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, the 35th anniversary Super Sentai series.
