Kuroto (Tetsuya Iwanaga) personally tells Emu (Hiroki Iijima) that he has been infected with the Game disease. However, Emu avoids the terrible situation of disappearing, and only collapses from his symptoms. But no Bugster appeared.

Emu regains consciousness in the CR, and his personality has changed into that of Gamer M. A new level 30 Bugster appears, and Emu cheerfully transforms into Ex-Aid. Fighting with his game intuition is fun, but he doesn’t show any concern for his patients. What on earth has happened to Emu!?

i am guessing his other personality -gamer m- took over in this episode and the CR crew including hiro tries to get Emu back.
