Tamashii Features 2016 Roundup: S.I.C.
Another Tamashii Nations Event means another peak into the future of the S.I.C. line.
The Super Imaginative Chogokin (S.I.C.) line is a range of high end tokusatsu figures that take artistic liberties with the original designs. Features become more exaggerated, cybernetics become more robotic, and organics become more monstrous. This year’s Tamashii Nations event teases future releases for this line.
Kamen Rider Gaim’s first S.I.C. release, which is slated for a June 2016 release, was shown off along with the other main Gaim Riders: Zangetsu, Ryugen, and Baron. Gaim’s S.I.C. line definitely exaggerates the armor aspect of the series. Ryugen, Zangetsu, and Gaim’s armor being shown off figure, displayed like armor you would see in a museum. Also shown was an S.I.C. version of the giant Suika arms, which stands far above the rest.
Zangetsu is slated for a November release through Tamashii Web.
Also getting the S.I.C. treatment is Kamen Rider Drive. Type Speed, Type Speed Flare, and Type Speed Shadow were all shown at the event.
S.I.C. Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed is slated for a December 2016 release. It is currently unknown if Speed Flare or Speed Shadow will be included as option parts for Type Speed, or if they will be individual accessory releases or entire new figures.
