“Ultraman X” Movie Comes in 10th on Opening Weekend

Ultraman X: Here He Comes! Our Ultraman opened this weekend and landed in the number 10 spot in Japanese theaters.

The Ultraman X movie, part of the Ultra Series’ 50th anniversary celebration, opened on March 12th. The film opened on 50 screens in Japan, and ended up in 10th place for ticket sales over the weekend.

Ultraman X joins films like The Big Short, The Martian, Doraemon: Nobita and the Birth of Japan 2016, and Nobunaga Concerto in the Japanese box office’s top ten.

Director Kiyotaka Taguchi tweeted about the news:

After opening weekend, the movie made it to 10th place. We cannot let it disappear from the ranking! Those who have not seen it, go to the theater this week!
