The Tokusatsu Network has an official podcast!

Welcome to The Tokusatsu Network Podcast, or TokuNet Podcast! With this new platform, we hope to provide discussion on various topics as well as reviews of different tokusatsu shows and movies in a much more free-form fashion.

In our first episode, the crew gets together to discuss a rather unique tokusatsu show from the late 70’s, Kaiketsu Zubat! Listen as Paula, Mike, Kuni, Venessa and Nick talk about the high and low points of the series as well as some of the challenges faced in reviewing a series of this type. Zubat is a lot of fun. The best part of each episode though, and what always kept me coming back to it, were the yojimbo duels.
Watching the ridiculous skill competitions with their blend of camera tricks and low budget practical effects was always a delight and ever so often I’ll grab a random episode and flip in a few minutes so I can watch them again.
