Hasbro Plans Power Rangers Movie Sequel

Hasbro shares plans for the future of Power Rangers, including a movie sequel.

Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner talked with analysts about the acquisition of several properties from Saban Brands, including Power Rangers. Among other things, Goldner said that Hasbro will be working with a studio to develop as a followup to 2017’s Power Rangers movie.

Hasbro previously expressed interest in doing movies shortly after obtaining the brand, stating that the brand was “very under leveraged and undervalued,” adding that it was a great opportunity for them to have acquired it.

According to Goldner, the transition to Hasbro ownership will be “relatively seamless,” due in part to having Saban CEO Haim Saban serve as a creative consultant.
