Power Rangers Movie Release Pushed to January 2017
The release of the upcoming Power Rangers feature film has been changed in a strategic move by Lionsgate.
Lionsgate, the studio behind the Power Rangers film, recently released an update concerning the scheduling of many of its upcoming projects. Power Rangers has been moved from its previous slot in the blockbuster-crowded Summer of 2016 to January 13, 2017, which possibly gives newly appointed director, Dean Isrealite, more time for production.
The Power Rangers film is currently being produced by Haim Saban, Brian Cassentini (of Saban Brands), and Allison Shearmur (Cinderella) with a script being written by X-Men: First Class and Thor writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz.
