Kamen Rider 1 & 2 Sake Set Announced for Kamen Rider 50th Anniversary

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Kamen Rider, Sasaki Sake Brewery and Urara Cube announced that they will be selling the Kamen Rider 1 & 2 Sake collectors set.

The Sasaki Sake Brewery is based in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture, which has been in business for over 140 years since its establishment in 1871-72. Coincidentally, this is also the hometown of Shotaro Ishinomori, Kamen Rider’s creator. The rice used to brew the sake is grown both in the Sendai Plain and the clear stream flowing into the Sendai Plain.

This special sake set was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Kamen Rider series. The Kamen Rider 1 sake has a rice polishing ratio of 45% and alcohol content of 15 with a clear taste, while the Kamen Rider 2 sake has a rice polishing ratio of 90% and alcohol content of 16, giving it a rich and mellow taste. This sake uses 100% of the underground water of the first-class river Natori River and “Kura no Hana”, a rice suitable for sake brewing from the Miyagi prefecture. The package is a luxurious specification using 100% domestic paulownia. As an added bonus, handcrafted sake cups based on the Double Riders’ transformation belts are also included. The cups are made from pottery (mino ware) and measure a width of approx. 60 mm, height of approx. 40 mm, and inner diameter approx. 50 mm. This collector’s set is limited only to 2,021 items.

The Kamen Rider 1 & 2 Sake collectors set from the original Kamen Rider will go for 6,500 Yen (tax included) and is scheduled for release in late February 2021. Preorders are being accepted starting January 12, 2021, at 12:00 JST.
