Ultraman Z to Receive English Subtitle Simulcast

Tsuburaya has announced that the latest Ultraman series, Ultraman Z, will be simulcast around the world with English subtitles.

Ultraman Z, which stars the apprentice of Ultraman Zero from 2009’s Ultra Galaxy Legends the Movie, will be simulcast via Tsuburaya’s Youtube channel, the production studio announced earlier today. Each episode will go up online after their Japanese TV premiere with English subtitles. The episodes will be available for two weeks after their initial broadcast.

Tsuburaya previously partnered with Crunchyroll to provide simulcast releases of Ultraman X, Orb, and Geed.

Tsuburaya describes the story as:

Once, shards of evil called “Devil Splinters” were scattered across space, throwing the galaxy into chaos. At that time, Ultraman Z, a new member of the Inter Galactic Defense Force who sought out Ultraman Zero as a mentor, comes down to Earth while chasing the Ferocious Space Shark Genegarg. On Earth, the Anti-Monster Robot Force STORAGE is formed to face down the monsters that appear on a daily basis. In his first battle, Z merges with Haruki Natsukawa, a new pilot of STORAGE. Together, they rise up to protect the peace! However, behind the scenes, the parasitic lifeform Celebro has set a terrifying plot into motion…

Episodes will be posted every Friday at 8:30 PM EST. Ultraman Z will premiere (in North America) on June 19th.
