Summary of Zi-O SG Watcher: Vol.40 / Starting Station

From the archive of Bandai’s candy toy blog series for Kamen Rider Zi-O, with the reveal of two DecadeArmor forms for SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O: RIDE 10, and news of SO-DO Kamen Rider Den-O.

The man currently in charge of candy toy development goes by G, and in honor of Zi-O, he is now going by the name Gi-O.

Gi-O reveals the figure for Zi-O’s DecadeArmor: GhostForm, which will be in SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O: RIDE 10.

Like with all of the subforms of DecadeArmor, it involves the base suit for an existing power-up, specifically Ghost’s Grateful Damashii form. The figure features a plentiful amount of stickers, recreating the various historical figure emblems that line the body.

In addition to that, the wave also includes DecadeArmor: OOOForm.

OOOForm is based on OOO’s TaJaDor Combo, featuring minimal stickers in comparison to GhostForm.

Much like with the previous release of DecadeArmor: Ex-AidForm, the wave only includes one armor set with stickers for both forms, meaning those who wish to have all of the forms would need to have a second copy. Similarly to aforementioned Ex-AidForm, the RideHeiseiber included with the armor has a Decade RideWatch inserted, with variant stickers for the light-up display.

With that, most of RIDE 10 has been revealed, with the first two items in the wave still yet to be revealed.

Gi-O ends this post by showing a sorrowful Ryuki (from the SHODO line) watching the SO-DO action.

Ryuki: “SHODO is good, but I also wanna be part of SO-DO.”

Zi-O: “About SO-DO, I feel like you’re not qualified to be a part of it, but…”

Ryuki: “‘But’…?”

Zi-O: “I feel like you could become a Decade armor soon enough!”

In a separate post on the same day, Mr. D, who handles SO-DO Chronicle, announces that SO-DO Kamen Rider Den-O will receive a second wave.

The first figure in the lineup is Den-O in Climax Form, the power-up involving all of the Imagin working together.

In addition to Climax Form, the wave also includes an Expansion Parts Set for displaying the various attack styles of the form, as well as an alternate helmet and back piece for Super Climax Form.

Den-O’s Wing Form is also included in the wave, with his weapon variants.

Lastly, the wave features Den-O’s Liner Form, the final form.

The wave is set for a September release date. The images shown are prototypes and may differ from the final product, but the blog will show final versions of the figures at a later date.

Curiously, Mr. D also makes mention of the questionnaire for the line, acknowledging that the fans’ voices have been heard when it comes to “That character” (red text) and “This character” (blue text) – it is not made clear whether these are for the Den-O line specifically or a separate series. However, he says that they will continue to look forward to further SO-DO Chronicle developments in the future, and will continue to keep an eye on their survey.

Any idea if the chest and shoulder stickers fit on the SH Figuarts Decade Armor figure?

These are 4″ figure line, Figuarts are 6″. Candy toys are small and inexpensive.
