Garo: Gekko No Tabibito Movie To Get Early Screenings This Summer

Fans will get the chance to watch the latest Garo film ahead of its fall release.


Recently, the official Garo Project News Blog updated with information on some early access screenings of the latest film in the Garo frachise, Garo: Gekko No Tabibito (Garo: Moonbow Traveler). Staring on June 14, fans have a chance to purchase tickets for 2000 yen each for screenings that will only be held in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Osaka, Aichi, Hokkaido, and Fukuoka. The screenings will all take place on July 25, well ahead of the film’s full release this fall.

The movie will continue the story told in Garo: Makai Flower, following the exploits of Raiga Saejima, son of the first series protagonist, Kouga Saejima, and the current bearer of the golden Garo armor. Masei Nakayama (Raiga), Natsumi Ishibashi (Mayuri), and Atom Mizuishi (Crow) are all returning to reprise their roles in the movie with Satoshi Matsuda (Kamen Rider Ryuki) joining the cast as a new mysterious masked figure. The ending theme, “Raiga – Moonbow Traveler” will be provided by longtime Garo collaborators JAM Project.

Directed and written by series creator Keita Amemiya, Garo: Gekko No Tabibito will be released in theaters across Japan on October 4, 2019.
