Monster Island Film Premieres on SyFy Channel in June

Information on the film’s kaiju with artwork from former featured artist Matt Frank has been released.

Monster Island features the story of a gigantic kaiju rampaging on earth and leaving only destruction in its path. The heroes must meet with a specialist versed in monster lore to save humanity. Asylum Entertainment brought on Matt Frank to create brand-new kaiju designs for the film.

Frank, known for his work as the writer and artist for the Redman comic series alongside Goncalo Lopes, serves as the main designer for the numerous kaiju that appear throughout the film.

Monster Island is written and directed by Matt Atkins, and stars Margot Wood, Natalie Robbie, Donna Cormack-Thompson, Adrian Bouchet, and Chris Fisher. Additionally, Eric Roberts and Toshi Toda make special guest appearances in the movie as well. The movie will premiere on the SyFy channel on June 1st, 2019, and will release on DVD and On-Demand services starting June 13th.
