Ultraman R/B the Movie: Select! The Crystal of Bonds Trailer Reveals New Ultra Warriors

Ultraman Tregear and Ultrawoman Grigio revealed via new trailer for post-series movie.

Tsuburaya has begun streaming the first trailer for the upcoming Ultraman R/B movie ahead of its final episode.

The movie, titled Ultraman R/B the Movie: Select! The Crystal of Bonds, takes place one year after the series and sees the Minato brothers transforming into Ultraman Rosso and Ultraman Blu again, joined by Riku Asakura/Ultraman Geed, portrayed by Tatsuomi Hamada.

Additionally, Arisa Sonohara’s character, Asahi Minato, the younger sister of the lead characters, has been revealed as the identity of Ultrawoman Grigio. The characters will further evolve their powers and transform into Ultraman GRB (pronounced “Groove”) using the Makoto Crystal.

Yuuma Uchida, the younger brother of voice actress Maaya Uchida, will voice the enemy character, Ultraman Tregear.

As previously reported, Takeshi Tsuruno (Shin Asuka/Dyna in Ultraman Dyna) will perform the theme song. Joining Tsuruno will be DAIGO, the lead singer in the rock band BREAKERZ, who portrayed Taiga, the human host of Ultraman Zero in the 2012 movie, Ultraman Saga.

Ultraman GRB is described as the super evolved battle form of all three Minato siblings, whose thoughts have become one.

Ultrawoman Grigio is the first Ultra character to be called Ultrawoman within the live action shows. (an Ultrawoman Beth existed in an American cartoon pilot by Hanna-Barbera in the 80s) The younger sister of the show’s heroes, Asahi Minato, transforms into Ultrawoman Grigio. Although she’s still rather inadequate in battle, her defensive abilities allow her to become a strong ally.

Ultraman Tregear is a mysterious Ultraman whose powers match both that of Ultraman GRB and Ultraman Geed’s final form, Ultimate Final.

The official story description reads:

Are you Ultraman? Or are you Katsumi Minato?

The mysterious Ultraman, Tregear, has suddenly appeared in Ayaka City. Tregear asks what one would do to make their dreams come true, prompting Katsumi to search for his own dream. As a monster appears for the first time in a year, Ultraman Blu and Ultraman Rosso are joined by Ultraman Geed to face off against this new threat. Walking towards their dream with the heart of the Minato family in hand, Ultraman GRB is born.

Ultraman R/B the Movie: Select! The Crystal of Bonds will be released on March 8th.
