Summary of Zi-O SG Watcher: Vol.8

Bandai’s candy toy blog posted a new entry for Kamen Rider Zi-O, talking about SO-DO’s FourzeArmor.

The man in charge of candy toy development goes by D, and in honor of Zi-O, he has changed his usual nickname to Di-O.

The first reveal is the Buttobasoul Hot Ramune. In the series series, a popular item in the candy toy series were candy that came with medals used in the Buttobasoul arcade game. These are perhaps best known as the Energy Items which appeared in Kamen Rider Ex-Aid as power-up for the game areas.

Zi-O: “It’s space tiiime! I’ll take you on, one-on-one!”

Di-O reveals the first item in SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O‘s third wave, FourzeArmor. Compared to all the previous armors, this one is distinctly different. Previously, Di-O commented on how Ex-AidArmor has the bulkiest armor they’ve dealt with, but FourzeArmor greatly surpasses it.

As usual, it comes with its own dedicated display stand.

Compared to the previous Rider Armor releases, FourzeArmor covers much of the body, so there are more parts involved. As such, it will be divided into FourzeArmor A Set and FourzeArmor B Set, two separate sets in the wave.

Due to how different it is, the Armor Changing figure release of Zi-O isn’t used for this armor. Instead, the body for Zi-O’s default form is required. Di-O reveals that the original release featured a little slit on the thigh, wondering if anyone noticed it – this allows the figure from the first wave to wear FourzeArmor. Like previous arm parts, the rockets can be removed to allow him to use his hands.

Speaking on hands, the Action Body for Zi-O will be included in the wave, but it includes a unique hand to replicate the iconic pose associated with Zi-O. This will be included in place of the usual open left hand.

Special parts are included with FourzeArmor in order to replicate the rocket formation, through a combination of hinged parts and parts-forming.
