Kamen Rider Zi-O Press Conference Reveals Cast and Characters & Trailer

Kamen Rider Zi-O‘s cast and characters were announced today during a press presentation.


The main character who transforms into Kamen Rider Zi-O is Sougo Tokiwa played by Sou Okuno. Okuno mentions the first Rider he remembers watching is Ryuki and that he watched Kamen Rider through Kiva. He also mentioned a special feeling having been born alongside the Heisei Kamen Rider series, which began in 2000 with Kamen Rider Kuuga while Okuno was born in 2000 himself.

Gaku Oshida plays Kamen Rider Geiz. Shieri Ohata plays the heroine, Tsukuyomi, an older sister type character who comes from the future to warn Zi-O about the future. Katsuhisa Namase plays Junichiro Tokiwa, Sougo’s granduncle. Keisuke Watanabe plays a “mysterious prophet” called “Wars” who also comes from the future. Also introduced was a group called the Time Jackers, who are another group of fighters from the future who are also fighting against the demon king. Members of the Time Jackers include “Time Jacker Wool” played by Rihito Itagaki and “Time Jacker Aura” played by Ayaka Konno. The Time Jackers give different people who they want to replace past Kamen Riders “Another Watches” to become “Another Riders”, this series’ monsters. Another Riders are creatures based on the designs of the previous Kamen Riders.

The press conference also showed off a trailer for the series showcasing characters traveling to different time periods and interacting with past Kamen Riders. The characters of Emu Hojo, Hiro Kagami, Ryuga Banjo, and Sento Kiriyu, all portrayed by their original actors, will also appear in the series.

They also showed off the first trailer to the television as well.
