Kamen Rider Drive’s Ryouma Takeuchi Ranks No. 1 In Ideal Man’s Physique Poll

Ryouma Takeuchi, known from Kamen Rider Drive, ranks on top among other Japanese celebrities in recent poll.

A poll was recently held in Japan for the male community to rank who they feel is the most ideal male celebrity’s physique. The results have since come out and Ryouma Takeuchi has been named as the first place winner.

Ryouma Takeuchi is most notable for his portrayal of Shinnosuke Tomari, the main character of Kamen Rider Drive, working as a police officer fighting against the rising Roidmude epidemic. He most recently reprised his role in Dr. Pac-Man vs. Ex-Aid & Ghost with Legend Rider.

Takeuichi mentions that he has participated in soccer since he was 5 years old, and was recommended for college teams. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury that forced him to retire from althetics. He did continue his interest in sports by recently traveling to Russia as part of the TBS FIFA World Cup Russia program and watched the Japan team matches. He still manages his athletic physique by working out in his spare time, which voters say helped him rise to the top spot of the list.

Comments from voters included:

  • “His shoulders are surprising for a small face.” – A teenage voter
  • “He looks thin because he’s so tall, but also that he’s good at soccer.” – Voter in his 30s

This month, Takeuchi released his third photobook, and appeared half-nude on the cover of ANAN magazine. He admitted he feels self-conscious about his muscle mass.

From the released list of the finalists, GACKT, known for singing the opening theme from Kamen Rider Decade, made second place in the poll.
