Comics Corner: MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS #26

No Rangers are safe and we learn just how dangerous Lord Drakkon really is in this month’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.

Writer: Kyle Higgins
Artist: Daniele di Nicuolo
Letterer: Ed Dukeshire
Colorist: Jeremy Lawson

Lord Drakkon has returned to his home dimension after committing his most shocking act as a villain yet: the murder of Tommy Oliver. He’s not stopping there having returned to his home dimension, Drakkon has seen the bigger picture and begins his war against all Power Rangers across time and space, while also greeting an old friend. This month’s issue is packed full of twists, turns, and drama for characters new and old for the series and continues to show why you should be reading SHATTERED GRID.

The most disturbing new character of all.

After the reveal that even someone as evil as Lord Drakkon cares about somebody, the issue moves to the Rangers at the funeral of Tommy Oliver and they are not doing well. It’s been mentioned before but Kyle Higgins and the other writers at BOOM Studios! continue to write the Rangers like real people who are going through crazy traumatic stuff that still feels believable. Nonetheless, the Rangers cannot let even a loss like this slow them down and they begin working with Jen Scott (Pink Ranger and leader of Time Force) who had helped Kimberly fend off Lord Drakkon at the end of the last issue.

Both sides begin to prepare for their next move and we see another guest Power Rangers team, this time the Samurai Rangers who are the first targets in Lord Drakkon and his armies all-out war on Rangers everywhere. The Battle scenes are epic and the promises of Ranger team-ups continues to be delivered.

SHATTERED GRID is moving at a breakneck speed and needs to be read by all fans. This issue will have you laugh, cry and just be in awe of the art in the fight scenes
