ULTRAMAN 3DCG Anime Adaptation Details Revealed

Directors of Ghost in the Shell: SAC and Appleseed to helm 2019 3DCG anime, with Production I.G and Sola Digital Arts producing.

As previously reported, an anime adaptation for Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi (both of Linebarrel of Iron fame)’s ULTRAMAN manga, based on Tsuburaya Productions’ Ultra franchise, was announced for 2019. Later on the same day, Tokyo Comic Con 2017 held a stage event for the announcement that gave further information on the adaptation.

It was announced that directors Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East) and Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed, Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars) will be helming the anime. Additionally, the anime itself will be 3DCG and produced by anime studios Production I.G (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Eden of the East) and Sola Digital Arts (Appleseed Alpha, Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars).

 The stage event also showcased a promotional video for the anime adaptation.
