Premium Bandai has unveiled the Complete Selection Modification OOO Driver Complete Set, complete with 58 Core Medals, voice tracks, BGM samples, and all new OOO Combos.

Last week, Premium Bandai teased the announcement of the Complete Selection Modification OOO Driver and Complete Selection Modification OOO Driver Complete Set, leaving fans pondering just how “complete’ the complete set was going to be. Needless to say, the folks at Bandai, Toei, and PLEX went above and beyond everyone’s expectations. The set in total boasts 58 Core Medals, spanning from main series Medals, movie exclusive Medals, and even Medals that were nothing more than a sketch on a poster during Movie Taisen Mega Max. The set really does have it all.

As with most CSM releases, the OOO Driver itself is roughly the same size as that of the original DX OOO Driver but features a new adult-sized belt strap with an overlay leather-like material to be more show accurate. While the O-Scanner is the same size as the original, it boasts a much larger range of sounds worthy of the CSM handle. The O-Scanner now has a thumb button that activates a number of phrases from Eiji and Ankh. There is also a BGM button on the back will cycle between “Anything Goes!” the theme song from the series, “Time judged all” the theme of OOO TaJaDol Combo, “Showdown, Greeed” the primary BGM for the Greeed fights in the series, and “Scanning Charge” the primary BGM for OOO’s final attacks. The O-Scanner includes three modes in total. Normal Mode will make the O-Scanner function much like the DX OOO Driver with no additional voice clips. Buddy Voice Mode will play voice conversations between Eiji and Ankh while you activate various functions of the CSM OOO Driver. Ankh Navigate Mode will play various Ankh voice clips as he “navigates” you to the correct OOO Combo.

The set includes a split apart Taka Medal. This has no functionality in any of the toys but serves as a wonderful addition to an OOO collection. As mentioned, the set includes 58 Core Medals:

  • Cracked Taka (from the series finale)
  • Taka [Eagle]
  • Kujaku [Peacock]
  • Condor

This is the first time the Super TaToBa Medals, Imagin Medal, and Shocker Medal are being released, and the first time movie accurate versions of X, Amazon, and Stronger are being released. While fans outside of Japan most likely didn’t know of their existence, Foundation X recreations of some O-Medals seen in Heisei Generations Final are being included as well! In that list, Yadokari onward are all brand new Core Medals made exclusively for the CSM release. These Core Medals were originally programmed into the DX OOO Driver (with no specified combos) and were last seen in a Kougami Foundation document on the wall in Movie Taisen Mega Max. It was a long, long wait, but these Medals are finally being released! Not only are they being released, but the CSM set is programmed with five all-new OOO Combos with accompanying artwork from PLEX themselves.

Introducing:

  • BiKaSo Combo comprised of Ebi, Kani, and Sasori (newly made versions)
  • ShiGazeShi Combo comprised of Shika, Gazelle, and Ushi
  • MukaChiRi Combo comprised of Mukade, Hachi, and Ari
  • SaiShiroGin Combo comprised of Saiuchi, Shirokuma, and Penguin
  • SaRaMiuo Combo comprised of Same, Kujira, and Ookamiuo

The CSM OOO Driver will recognize these five new combos, each with newly recorded transformation jingles from Akira Kushida, the voice of the OOO Driver. Unfortunately, Kangaroo, Panda, and Yadokari don’t form a combo themselves and seem to just be additional Medals that can be used randomly. However, the page does appear to state that the included information booklet will include sketches for Yadokari’s body designs.

As if this wasn’t enough, the CSM OOO Driver includes additional transformation sounds not found in the DX OOO Driver such as TaMaShii Combo, Super TaToBa Combo, the King’s TaToBa Combo (from 800 years ago), the TaJaDol Combo jingle voiced by Ankh from the finale, and even the infamous Love Combo. The Driver is also programmed to play the 7 Legend Rider jingle from Movie Taisen Mega Max when the X, Amazon, and Stronger Core Medals are scanned.

As if that wasn’t enough, Premium Bandai has decided to pack in an alternate buckle attachment from the OOO Driver. Instead of the usual OOO Driver, the alternate buckle is that of the Poseidon Driver, belonging to Kamen Rider Poseidon from Movie Taisen Mega Max. While the buckle isn’t robust in features, it can house the Same, Kujira, and Ookamiuo Core Medals to activate Poseidon’s transformation sound. They don’t call this the “Complete Set” for nothing.

The CSM OOO Driver Complete Set will release in June 2018 for ¥37,800 before fees and shipping. Preorders began on December 11th, 2017 and will conclude on February 26th, 2018. As with most CSM items, the June release for this set may close early, with a second shipment (likely in July 2018) taking its place. Please keep that in mind when placing your orders.

For fans on a budget, Premium Bandai is also offering just the CSM OOO Driver. This set includes the OOO Driver, O-Scanner, the TaJaDol Core Medals, the GataKiriBa Core Medals, and the RaTorarTar Core Medals for ¥15,120 with the same preorder period and shipment dates.

UPDATE #1: The June 2018 batch of CSM OOO Driver Complete Set has already sold out on Premium Bandai. A second batch should be up for sale soon.

UPDATE #2: The July 2018 batch is now live and located here. The set is still planned to close preorders on February 26th, 2018.

Will there be any way to buy the set in July without preordering? Or once the July preorders sell out, will that be the last possible opportunity to buy?

It is not possible to buy the item after the item’s preorder window closes in February. Once the item releases in June and July, you’ll be able to find it on places like eBay, Yahoo Japan Auctions, Mandarake, etc. Some stores that purchased extra might have them still in stock, but it’s impossible to order them from Premium Bandai after February.
