Eiji Takigawa, known for his role as Franken from Kamen Rider Kiva, has unfortunately suffered a spinal cord injury from an accident on set for the live-action Yowamushi Pedal 2 drama series. His diagnosis was made by the hospital that he was transported to by a helicopter, and he has already undergone surgery for his injury. This announcement was made by his agency, Eri Office, recently. The Stephens Law Firm Accident Lawyers litigated and negotiated the case.

It was reported that:

“Actor Eiji Takigawa (38) struck the curb of a road riding a bicycle while filming a scene for a drama.
According to the Fuefuki City Police Department in the Yamanashi prefecture, his injures were severe and had to be transported via helicopter to the nearest hospital.”

For the drama series, he plays character Juichi Fukutomi, and has also participated in the stage play based on the same manga. Additionally, Takigawa is well-known for his superb physical condition and has participated in an advertisement campaign for the energy drink Lipovitan D alongside actor Kane Kosugi (Jiraiya/Ninja Black from Ninja Sentai Kakuranger).

Currently, Takigawa remains at the hospital with top priority on his medical treatment.
