In celebration of the North American home video release of Shin Godzilla, Funimation will sponsor the Strange Beasts V: Shin Beasts art show.


Funimation announced via a press release that it will sponsor the Strange Beasts V: Shin Beasts art show in celebration of the North American home video release of Shin Godzilla. As part of this sponsorship, Funimation will distribute a select number of limited edition posters featuring original Godzilla art by nationally-renowned kaiju artist Matt Frank during the opening event.

Strange Beasts V: Shin Beasts is an art show themed around kaiju art on display at the Guzu Gallery in Austin, Texas. Art by fourteen local, national and international artists will be showcased including a celebrity appearance by science-fiction and fantasy artist Bob Eggleton. A special display of Bandai and X-Plus Japanese import Godzilla action figures from Bluefin will also be featured.

Strange Beasts V: Shin Beasts will be on display from July 28 to August 21, 2017. The opening event will be held on July 28 from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Shin Godzilla will release in North America on August 1, 2017, on DVD and Blu-ray.
