Actor Bradley Whitford of Get Out acclaim is cast in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, adding to growing ensemble cast.

Recently, Variety reported on the casting of Get Out actor Bradley Whitford, who is notably known for his acting roles in The West Wing and Transparent, in the sequel of Legendary Pictures 2014 Godzilla film called Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

His addition will have him joining an increasing ensemble cast, including Kyle Chandler (Bloodline), Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring, Bates Motel), Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Straight Outta Compton), Aisha Hinds (Underground, Shots Fired, Under the Dome), Anthony Ramos (White Girl, Hamilton (Musical)), Charles Dance (Game of Thrones), and Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley); with Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai, Letters from Iwo Jima, Inception) and Sally Hawkins (Paddington, Blue Jasmine) reprising their roles of  the scientists Ishiro Serizawa and Vivienne Graham from the previous 2014 film respectively.

Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, and Millie Bobby Brown are reported to star as a father, mother, and daughter.

It has been previously reported that Krampus director/co-writer/co-producer Michael Dougherty will be directing the sequel film with Alex Garcia (Godzilla (2014)) producing.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is part of Legendary Pictures’ and Warner Bros.’s cinematic universe known as the “MonsterVerse”, and is scheduled for a release date of March 22nd, 2019.
