VIDEO: Hurricane Polymar Pre-Screening Press Conference

The main cast and director of Hurricane Polymar gave a short press conference before screening the movie for those in attendance.


At a press screening for the upcoming film, Hurricane Polymar, director Koichi Sakamoto and the main cast gave their thoughts on the experience of making the movie. Junpei Mizobata (Takeshi Yoroi/Hurricane Polymar), Yuki Yamada (Jōichi Kuruma), Mikie Hara (Rei Hieda), and Yurina Yanagi (Teru Minami) each had a chance to speak. Upon request from a member of the press, Mizobata and Sakamoto even demonstrated some basic techniques of the fighting style utilized in the movie.

Hurricane Polymar is a live-action film directed by Koichi Sakamoto and based on the 1974 anime of the same name. The film follows the story of Takeshi Yoroi. After losing the opportunity to work as an investigator for the International Secret Police Agency, Takeshi becomes a superhero named Hurricane Polymar. Koichi Sakamoto also directed Kamen Rider Heisei Generations: Dr. Pac-Man vs. Ex-Aid & Ghost with Legend Rider, and Space Sheriff Gavan vs Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger as well as episodes of Power Rangers Dino Force BraveKamen Rider Ex-AidKamen Rider Ghost and Ultraman X.

Hurricane Polymar releases in Japan on May 13th.
