Tamashii Nations announced the opening of a Los Angeles based office, the first to be located outside of Japan.

Tamashii Nations has stated that the move to open a Los Angeles based office is an effort to better understand U.S. fans, capitalize on the advantages of the local entertainment industry and retail partners, as well the ability to work closer with their U.S. distribution partner Bluefin.

“Tamashii Nations is an authentic Japanese brand, however, North America is an important part of our growth strategy,” said Adam Newman, Senior Director of Tamashii Nations at Bandai. “To facilitate that growth, we’ve opened a Los Angeles office to better understand our U.S. fans and capitalize on the advantages of local access to the entertainment industry, retail partners, and our official distribution partner Bluefin.”

The press release also notes the upcoming Tamashii Nations 10th Anniversary World Tour will make its U.S. stop on April 29th and April 30th in Manhattan’s Grand Central Terminal. The tour is scheduled to visit 10 major cities worldwide throughout 2017.

To celebrate the continued success of the Tamashii Nations brand, an international touring exhibit visiting 10 major cities around the world is making its only U.S. stop in New York City this spring. The Tamashii Nations 10th Anniversary World Tour will take place on Sat. and Sun., April 2930 at the Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. The event, which is free to visit, includes specially curated displays featuring exclusive and neverbeforeseen Tamashii Nations items, as well as a wide array of products available for retail purchase.

New and upcoming Tamashii Nations items are set to be revealed during New York Toy Fair 2017, taking place February 18th to 21st.
