The writer of such shows as Kamen Rider Gaim and Magical Girl Madoka Magica, Gen Urobuchi, will be attending Sakura-Con in April with a group of other guests from Thunderbolt Fantasy Sword Seekers.

Known in tokusatsu for being the main writer for Kamen Rider Gaim, Gen Urobuchi is also well known for his work in the anime industry with many titles under his belt. Now, he’s been confirmed as a guest for Sakura-Con along with other members of the team responsible for his latest show, Thunderbolt Fantasy.

Mr. Urobuchi will be joined at Sakura-Con by Thunderbolt Fantasy producer Koh Kitaoka and executive producer and Nitroplus president Mr. Digitarou. Both of these men are also well known for working on the popular Japanese video game series, Touken Ranbu Online, and its anime counterpart, Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru. Also part of this group will include guests who work for Pili International Multimedia Inc. This is the largest Taiwanese puppet media production company, and the production company responsible for Thunderbolt Fantasy.

Thunderbolt Fantasy is a show made using hand puppets and follows the story of Dān Fěi, a guardian of a sword called the Tiān Xíng Jiàn. While being pursued by the evil Xuán Guǐ Zōng clan, Dān Fěi’s brother is killed, and she is left in the care of two swordsmen who now must protect her from the evil clan.

Sakura-Con will be held at the Washington State Convention Center from April 14th-16th of this year.
