The Return of Godzilla to be Released on Blu-ray/DVD

Media group Kraken Releasing has announced The Return of Godzilla film on Blu-ray and DVD.

Kraken Releasing, a distribution studio working with anime distribution group Section 23,  has announced the upcoming release for the recently acquired 1984 The Return of Godzilla, simply titled Godzilla in Japan.

Previous Godzilla film releases from Kraken Releasing include Godzilla vs.Hedorah (Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster), Ebirah, Horror of the Deep (Godzilla Vs. The Sea Monster), and Godzilla vs. Gigan (Godzilla on Monster Island).

The film will be released on September 13th and come in Blu-ray and DVD editions. The release will contain both the English audio track as well as the original Japanese version.

UPDATE: 5/19/16: This release will be the original Japanese version, the first time that the film has been put out this way in America. . In the past twenty minutes of footage was cut for an “Americanized” version. Also some special features, such as trailers for this, and other movies in the Godzilla franchise will be included in the release.
