New Godzilla: Resurgence Trailers Offer Detailed Look at Monster

Two new trailers for Shin Godzilla/Godzilla: Resurgence gets up close and personal with the King of the Monster’s new look.

Shinji Higuchi and Hideaki Anno’s Godzilla: Resurgence is the latest attempt to revive the Godzilla film franchise. Today, Toho put up a new 30-second teaser and a full trailer that shows off some of the film’s stars and gives fans a look at some shots featuring the new Godzilla, which looks to be brought to life by a mixture of practical effects and CGI. The slogan reads “Reality (Japan) vs Figment (Godzilla)”

Godzilla: Resurgence is written and directed by Hideaki Anno, of Neon Genesis Evangelion fame, and co-directed by Shinji Higuchi, director of the Attack on Titan films. The film comes out on July 29th, 2016 in Japan.
