“Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit” Premieres on March 19th

The live-action fantasy series will begin the first of its three seasons on March 19th.

The series is based on Nahoko Uehashi’s Seirei no Moribito series, which was adapted into a 26 episode anime series in 2007.

The series will star Haruka Ayase (Rookies, Say Hello to Blackjack) and feature Tatsuya Fujiwara (Death Note, Ruroni Kenshin), Satoshi Matsuda (Ren/Kamen Rider Knight in Kamen Rider Ryuki), Yukijiro Hotaru (Gonza in Garo, Makai Senki, and Makai no Hana), Yu Kameo (Dr. Maki in Kamen Rider OOO, Captain Kamiki in Ultraman X), and Koji Kikkawa (Narumi/Kamen Rider Skull in the Kamen Rider W movies).

The live-action version of the show will be 22 episodes and air from 2016 to 2018. The show’s first season will consist of 4 episodes while the second season, set to air in early 2017, will be 9 episodes.
