Ultraman X Movie Gets Release Date

Tsuburaya recently announced the name, release date, and director of the upcoming Ultraman X movie.

With only four episodes left, Ultraman X, the first tokusatsu to be simulcast in English, is quickly approaching the end of its run. However, the adventures of X and his host, Daichi Oozora, will continue next year with Ultraman X: Our Ultraman Has Come!, a theatrical film that will come out on March 12th, 2016. In the film, Ultraman X will don the Beta Spark Armor. This is possibly a reference to the original Ultraman and Ultraman Tiga’s transformation devices, the Beta Capsule and Spark Lens, respectively.

The film will be directed by the TV series’ head director, Kiyotaka Taguchi (Geharha, Giant Monster Movie: G, Ultraman Ginga S). The film is part of Tsuburaya’s plans for the Ultra Series’ fiftieth anniversary celebration.
