Super Sentai Artisan Dino Buckler Announced

Premium Bandai has announced its first venture into Super Sentai Artisan changers with the announcement of the Super Sentai Artisan Dino Buckler from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger.

When Bandai America released the Legacy Power Morpher, many fans speculated and joked at the possibility of Bandai Japan releasing the toy as the Dino Buckler from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers‘ source show, Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. It took a few years, but Bandai has answered the call with the Super Sentai Artisan release of that very toy.

Premium Bandai’s Super Sentai Artisan Dino Buckler will include the Dino Buckler itself, the buckle holster, the Tyrannosaurus Guardian Beast Medal, as well as a bonus item, a Dino Crystal. The Dino Buckler itself is the same mold as the Legacy Power Morpher released by Bandai America, but with the “Zyuranger Kyoryusentai” text written on the face of the toy.

The Guardian Beast Medal included with the toy is a new sculpt, featuring a new emblem on the back, but is otherwise the same size as the American releases. The buckle holster is also the same, and can clip onto the rim of pants or a belt with the Dino Buckler sitting safely inside to emulate the device in the series. The Dino Buckler can be removed and flipped around to emulate the buckle while the Zyuranger are transformed.

The Dino Crystal is an all-new Bandai Japan exclusive item. No details such as the size and design of the Dino Crystal are shown, but fans can expect the same level of quality the Super Sentai Artisan line is known for.

As for sounds, the Dino Buckler features an all-new soundboard featuring the transformation sounds from the original series. Fans will remember that remodeled Legacy Power Morphers were used as the Dino Buckler prop in the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger vs. Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters film. To commemorate that, also included is the transformation sound used when Geki transformed into Tyranno Ranger in the film.

The Super Sentai Artisan Dino Buckler will be released in March, 2016 for ¥10,584 before shipping and fees. To coincide with the release of the Dino Buckler, Premium Bandai is also releasing the Guardian Beast Medal Set, containing the six Guardian Beast Medals and a special Guardian Beast Medal containing the combined logo of the core five team.
