The 2011 manga, Ultraman, sees its first volume animated in motion-comic style on Tsuburaya’s Youtube channel.

Tsuburaya has released the first seven motion chapter adaptations for the Ultraman manga currently running in Monthly Hero’s. The chapters posted feature the first story arc in the series, showcasing the battle against the alien Bemular as well as Shinjiro, son of the original Ultraman host, donning the Ultraman suit for the first time to fight the alien.

The series has been running since 2011 and acts as a sequel to the original 1966 tokusatsu program as a new generation of heroes possessing the “Ultra Factor” must fight against an onslaught of aliens. Eiichi Shimizu writes the series while Tomohiro Shimoguchi illustrates. The pair is known for their Linebarrels of Iron manga and anime.

The manga was recently licensed by Viz and showcased at Comic Con with an upcoming August 18th release while the seventh volume of the series was released on July 4th in Japan.
