Yudai Chiba, best known as Gosei Red from Goseigers, stars in a film about a TV presenter turned superhero.

Chiba, along with Kamen Rider Agito’s Jun Kaname and Aoi Honoo’s Mizuki Yamamoto, stars in the film about “a broadcaster on the edge” called Mr. Maxman.

The official summary reads:

“A broadcaster on the edge makes a drastic transformation into the most formidable salaryman hero in history! A broadcasting TV station hero donning black rimmed glasses is gloriously born! Masayoshi Taniguchi, who has been working at Japan TV for three years, is the No.2 presenter of a morning information show “Fresh Wide”. He can never get ahead for he is always making mistakes. His unrequited love for Yuko, a childhood friend and news reporter in the same workplace, is also just going around in circles. One day, he realizes that once he wears the glass spectacles he found on a job, he gains superhuman powers, and makes up his mind to stand up as a knight in shining armor.”

Here’s a stage greeting featuring the cast and crew during the Okinawa Film Festival on March 25, 2015:

That can’t be Chiba in the picture. He doesn’t look like a giraffe. 😛
