A new Rider, Kamen Rider #4, will be debuting in a Net Movie series coinciding with the upcoming film, Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider #3.
Before Kamen Rider Drive made his debut, there were huge discussions about the series hero driving a car as opposed to the traditional motorcycle. However, it looks like Kamen Rider #4 will also pilot a non-traditional vehicle, an aircraft called the Sky Cyclone.
Kamen Rider #4 will make his debut in the three-episode dVideo Special – Kamen Rider #4, which will be available after March 28th (a week after #3 makes his debut in Super Hero Taisen GP) on the Japanese internet streaming service, dVideo. The mini series stars Ryoma Takeuchi, Kento Handa, Yuichi Nakamura, Yuu Inaba, and Rio Uchida. In the midst of Shocker’s warping of the history of Kamen Riders, Kamen Rider #4 appears during a fight that includes Kamen Riders Drive, Zeronos, and Faiz.
Kamen Rider #4 will look like a pilot who operates an aircraft. Regarding the birth of the character, Shinichiro Shirakura, the film’s producer, said that he was really happy to introduce another new Kamen Rider just like #3. “I wanted to create a Net Movie with quality that equals a Television Broadcast and Movie,” he added. “We may also have new Kamen Riders, such as #5 and #6, that will appear outside of Television and Movie formats.”
The first two episodes of dVideo Special – Kamen Rider #4 will be made available on March 28, 2015, with the last episode airing on April 4, 2015. A DVD that collects Episode 1 will be available to the first 1,000,000 attendees of Super Hero Taisen GP.
Super Hero Taisen GP: Kamen Rider #3 will also debut Shotaro Ishinomori’s character Kamen Rider #3, who differs from Kamen Rider V3. Kamen Rider #3’s existence will be a big highlight to the film’s story. Tetsuo Kurata, who portrayed Kotaro Minami in Kamen Rider Black and Kamen Rider Black RX will be reprising his role since his guest appearance on Kamen Rider Decade and its theatrical movie, Kamen Rider Decade: All Riders vs Dai-Shocker. Other returning actors include Kento Handa as Takumi Inui/Kamen Rider Faiz, Hironari Amano as Sakuya Tachibana/Kamen Rider Garren, and Yuichi Nakamura as Yuto Sakurai/Kamen Rider Zeronos. Black Shogun will be played by former MMA fighter and professional wrestler Nobuhiko Takada.
Super Hero Taisen GP will premiere in Japan on March 21st.
