The Tokusatsu Network Celebrates 1st Anniversary

anniversary-week

January 7th celebrates the Tokusatsu Network’s first anniversary of its launch! As members of Team TokuNet take time to reflect on their first year together and look to the future, we’d like to take this time to thank everyone who made the Tokusatsu Network possible.

Paula Gaetos, Editor-in-Chief

For everyone who’s been with us since day one to the ones who are barely hearing about us now, whether you knew us from what we’ve done before or you found us because of our actor interviews on YouTube— Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for your support. What I really love about being able to create something like this is, we know immediately whether something works or not just through your views and feedback and I am incredibly appreciative. You guys are the quiet (and sometimes, not so quiet) benefactors of Team TokuNet and we couldn’t have done this without you.

To my Team TokuNet members, I can’t say this enough and I know you all are probably sick of hearing it: YOU GUYS ARE INCREDIBLE. I couldn’t ask for a better mix of insanely eclectic, talented, and supportive people. It blows my mind over and over when I think about the things we’re able to accomplish together; and I know it’s because we’re in this together. Day in and day out, I am so thankful for each and every one of you.

Jorge Salas, Senior Editor and Community Forums Manager

Thank you for reading the site and making all the time and effort we put into this worth it. As glamourous as it may seem, being a member of Team TokuNet isn’t all pool parties and spa dates, we actually have to do work. There comes a point when, no matter how much you enjoy something, you want to see a response to it so as to keep you motivated. Being a member of the team requires us to do a lot of work and I don’t think any single one of us would be able to produce as much content as we do without the spectacular response we’ve gotten from our readers.

Thank you for all of your support and your comments over the past year, and looking forward in the future. We have many things planned and we’re incredibly excited to bring them to you.

K.D. Komiyama, Lead Translator

As I have mentioned in the podcast, and at risk of sounding cheesy, all this would have not been possible without the support and feedback of our readers/viewers/listeners. Please continue letting us know what we can do to provide you with the news content you and the genre deserve and be assured that we’ll do our best and we will deliver. And seriously, I mean every word.

Venessa Weyer, Staff Writer

To everyone out there who has supported TokuNet, I appreciate it because that means I still have a hobby to spend my time on.

Brian Dagley, Staff Writer and Forum Moderator

Thank you. I don’t know what else to say besides thank you. When I started reviewing back in 2009 I had no idea that my channel and audience would grow into what it is today. It amazes me to this day that so many people support some nerd talking about toys. It’s a great feeling. Additionally, I always get a huge smile on my face when I see people talk about how reputable TokuNet is. I’ve only been a part of the team for a few months, but these guys have really made me feel at home in such a short time. To all of you who make TokuNet your go to source for news, thank you. We’d be nowhere without your amazing support.

Yasin Bulhan, Managing Editor

A big THANK YOU to everyone who’s read and worked on our site, as well as to our friends and family who see us spam their Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr etc feeds with our articles every day. TokuNet wouldn’t be a thing without everyone’s support. And I’m deeply grateful for this opportunity.

Also, once my jet comes in, I’m offering free rides to anywhere in the world that will let us in. But only for the first month. I can’t be giving people rides all the time all willy-nilly. It just isn’t possible, I’m sorry. But I’ll promise to fly over your place of residence upon request. It’s the least I could do.

Tom Constantine, Senior Editor

Thanks for all the kind words and please keeping visiting the site. Also, like and subscribe to the YouTube Channel <3

There’s a weird thing with doing stuff for the internet in that sometimes, the people who follow your work are less likely to be vocal about it. Unless you’re like a YouTuber or just someone who continuously puts themselves out there, you’re lucky if you get the occasional tweet. That’s what makes me appreciate the feedback and trust we’ve gotten from our supporters. The moment that best sums up how far we’ve come was when I sat behind someone at a panel at Power Morphicon last year and noticed them pull up an article on the TokuNet website, let alone refer to it during a Q&A at a panel. It’s mind-blowing how far we’ve come to where I have to remind myself constantly it’s only been a year. It can only get bigger and better from here on out, and I thank all of you fantastic people who have stuck with us thus far from the bottom of my heart.

Nick Bush, Staff Writer

Thank you all so much. I’m glad you’ve come with us so far and I can’t wait for what the future brings.

Puss puss, ni är bäst. <3

To our audience, please continue to support us in 2015 as well. Look forward to awesome articles and Happy New Year.

To my friends, thank you all for supporting me. Even in the time where I wasn’t feeling well. Who knew that all I needed was more Vitamin U. Though I will return the favor this year. You will all receive some cold medicine later because you’re all looking hot.
