Following the unveiling of the new tokusatsu series Gunblade at the 2014 Licensing Expo, the first pieces of footage have been released.

The recently announced Korean tokusatsu series Gunblade was shown to the public at the 2014 Licensing Expo by way of an 8-minute pilot trailer. We are introduced to Jay and Alison, members of the special force known as Encount, as they fight against the ancient Gothic clan. The Gothic were awakened by Dr. Dexter, who fused with the supercomputer known as Olympus in order to carry out his corrupt goals.

In the trailer, we get a chance to see some of the costume designs as well as the action scenes we’ve come to expect from a Sakamoto project. The Gunblade suit itself is presented in the fight, showing off his array of weapons, from a combat knife to a powered-up kick. The Making-Of video shows all that went into creating this teaser.

Filming for Gunblade is slated to start in August 2014 with the show expected to premiere in Korea and other Asian countries in June and September of 2015. The United States and Europe are expected to see the series in January of 2016.
